The proof is in the padding

Confitex Technology - Verified Performance for Bladder Leakage Underwear, Period Underwear and Nursing Pads

The proof is in the padding

At Confitex, we’re super proud of the second-generation absorbent and waterproof textile we’ve created for our Confitex for Men

leakproof underwear

and Just’nCase

period-proof and pee-proof underwear and nursing pads

for women.

We believe it’s market-leading (our own testing and consumer trials tell us so), so we commissioned leading international standards laboratory UL to subject our products to stringent testing to back this up. We're thrilled to say they passed with flying colors, verified across a range of measures including absorbency capacity, absorbency speed, moisture retention, durability, odour control and breathability*. In the interests of transparency, we’ve published the results here.

We are committed to building consumer confidence in absorbent underwear, combatting unsubstantiated claims and providing transparency and guidance in this new and largely unregulated industry. By commissioning independent scientific verification of our absorbent products we are seeking to provide consumers with a practical guide to wearability. By providing indicative comparative performance against leading brands of disposable pads, liners, shields and guards, our goal is to help consumers determine how our absorbent products compare to alternative options they may be familiar with.

HOW DO WE MEASURE UP?

The following is a graphic depiction of comparative results based on UL Laboratories testing of Confitex and selected leading brands of single-use absorbent liners and pads undertaken January-April 2020.

Rather than featuring the maximum absorbency capacity that our products can absorb, the figures shown reflect a real-world representation of how individuals experience

absorbent, leakproof underwear and nursing pads

– allowing for a comfortable volume of liquid while they move and undertake active pursuits, which in the process provides a more realistic expectation of reusable absorbent products.

In the main there is some correlation between bulk and absorbency. In applying our advanced technology we have determined an optimal ratio that delivers a stylish, high-performance product that people can enjoy wearing with confidence. One important aspect to note is that today’s ‘normal-looking’ absorbent underwear are not yet able to replace heavy-duty paper pads and pull-up disposables designed for heavier incontinence.
